Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial arts artist who is a part of in the UFC for the Flyweight Division. She is a Kyrgyzstani. She is the older sister of her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner by unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko won another medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, and a gold in the year 2011, and won as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in the year 2016. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003. She took home an award at the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's final bout took place in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko fought her first professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She won 3-0 following the second-round TKO. Her next two bouts were won by WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was forced to take a break in order to focus on the sport of kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in a unanimous decision and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She joined the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability during the clinch final round by using knees on the body. Antonina Shevchenko received an UFC contract following this win. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi by a unanimous decision. However, she then fell in her second bout due to an unanimous verdict. Antonina rebounded from the defeat by prevailing Lucie Prudilova's fight in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a rear naked choke submission. This was by far the most exciting fight of night for that bout. Shevchenko went 1-2 in her next 3-fights she lost to Ariane Lipski, and then falling to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina suffered a loss to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
