Keira Knightley
She was raised in London to the two actors Will Knightley and Sharman Macdonald, Knightley obtained an agent when she was just six years old and worked in commercials and television films. There was a brief role as Sabe in the space-opera Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999). Her breakout moment came in the role of a teenage footballer in the sports film Bend It Like Beckham (2002) which later achieved the world's attention for her performance as Elizabeth Swann in the swashbuckler fantasy show Pirates of the Caribbean, starting in 2003. The romantic comedy Love Actually (2003) and was considered a promising young star. Knightley was awarded the Academy Award nod for Best Actress in 2005 for her portrayal of Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine in the classic romance Pride & Prejudice. Alongside Atonement and Pride & Prejudice, she also played in the role of Georgiana Cavendish who was the popular tastemaker for The Duchess and Anna Karenina's main socialite. In modern dramas, she portrayed the aspiring musician in Begin Again (2012) and the role of a medical doctor for the role of a physician in Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit (2013). Knightley has returned to films of the past acting as Joan Clarke in The Imitation Game (2014), earning her an award nomination for The Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in the film, as well as starring as the eponymous writer in Colette (2018).
