American actor Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She began her acting career as a supporting actress in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). She then played reporter Willa McPherson in the FX series Dirt as well as a supporting role in the short-lived series The Ex List. In the initial season, she played the role of Moira O'Hara, a young Moira and in the following season, she was Kaylee. She played Jessie Anderson on AMC's The Walking Dead as well as Sophie on NBC's This Is Us. She is a voice actor on Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since 2019she has been appearing as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother when she was of 10. The family lived in various places for a year before finally settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 years old when she began taking an interest in acting, photography and singing. Breckenridge moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 15 to pursue her acting career.
